Small items (skincare, seeds, hand tools) ship within 1 business day from our Elk Grove warehouse via USPS or UPS Ground. Most orders arrive in 3–5 business days within the continental U.S.

Do you ship large equipment?

Yes. Tractors, cider presses, walk-in coolers and similar heavy items ship via freight carrier on a pallet. We'll email tracking and a call-ahead delivery window. Freight orders take 7–14 business days.

Is shipping free?

Free standard shipping on orders over $75 within the continental U.S. Freight items include curbside delivery in the listed price.

Do you ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Canada?

AK and HI: yes, rates calculated at checkout. Canada: yes on most small items; freight is case-by-case — email us first.

Products & quality

Are your foods certified organic?

Our farm is in its third year of organic transition (CCOF pending). All ingredients we grow are produced to organic standards — no synthetic pesticides, no synthetic fertilizers. A few sourced ingredients (like sea salt) are non-certified but verified.

Are your seeds non-GMO?

Yes. Every seed we sell is open-pollinated, non-GMO, and hand-packed from our own seed vault or from trusted heirloom seed partners in California and Oregon.

How long do the oils and preserves last?

Cold-pressed oils: 18 months unopened, 6 months opened if refrigerated. Preserves: 24 months sealed, 3 weeks refrigerated after opening. Every jar is dated on the lid.

Returns & guarantees

What's your return policy?

30 days, no questions asked, on unopened packaged goods. Food products that arrive damaged are replaced free within 14 days — just send a photo. Equipment has a 1-year manufacturer warranty plus our own 30-day satisfaction guarantee.

I received a damaged shipment. What do I do?

Email info@joeavisfarms.com with a photo of the packaging and product within 72 hours of delivery. We'll ship a replacement same day.

Can I visit the farm?

Our farm stand is open Saturdays 8am–2pm from April through November. Group tours and workshops can be booked via our Education & Workshops collection.
